Potential Marrow Donor
You must be between the ages of 18-60, meet the
health and weight guide-lines, fill out a consent/ registration
form, give a small blood sample and be willing to donate to any
patient in need.
Join the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP)
to volunteer for Marrow and Blood Cell Donation by calling
1-800-MARROW2 to receive a Donor Registration Form or visit
www.marrow.org to
contact your local donor center associated with the National
Marrow Donor Program.

type matches their own so they can receive a life-saving marrow
or blood cell transplant.
They need to find special people-someone like you willing to
become a marrow or blood cell donor.

Each year, more
than 35,000 people are diagnosed with life-threatening diseases
such as leukemia, lymphoma, sickle cell disease and other life-threatening
disorders or many, a marrow or blood cell transplant is the only
treatment option.
African Americans in need of a transplant
face the greatest challenge because of the lack of potential
African American donors.
